Your athlete will train under coaches who have actually been there. World Series champions, big league players, and a pro mental skills coach are building the EM Academy baseball program in Huntington Beach.
EM Academy combines a full, accredited school day with elite sports development for athletes in grades 6 through 12. In Huntington Beach, the baseball side is led by people who have lived it at the highest level. Dino Ebel and Brian Hunter design the programming, training, testing and workshops. Brian is on site on a very regular basis and Dino comes in often. Justin Sellers runs the program day to day as the daily baseball coach, and Dr. Kellen Lee trains the mental side that decides how talent shows up under pressure.
Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Coach / 3× World Series Champion
Dino has spent more than three decades in professional baseball, including the last seven seasons coaching third base for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has stood in a big league coaching box for some of the most watched moments in the sport and helped build rosters that win it all. Before the Dodgers he spent 14 seasons coaching with the Los Angeles Angels, and he has worn the Team USA uniform on the World Baseball Classic staff. At EM Academy he sets the standard for how our athletes are developed, from curriculum to long term progression.
Big league standards, built into your athlete's daily development.
9‑Year MLB Veteran / 3× World Series, Atlanta Braves
Brian played nine seasons in the Major Leagues, mostly as a first baseman and outfielder for the Atlanta Braves. He reached three World Series with Atlanta and delivered one of the franchise's signature swings, a Game 7 home run in the 1991 NLCS that sent the Braves to the Fall Classic. After his playing career he moved into pro scouting and coaching, and he still develops elite young talent, including a spot on the American League staff at the 2025 MLB All‑Star Futures Game. At EM Academy he shapes the culture, structure and expectations the program is built on.
A champion's blueprint for how a program should think and compete.
MLB Infielder, Dodgers & Cleveland / Marina HS, Huntington Beach
Justin grew up in Huntington Beach and reached the Major Leagues out of Marina High School, playing infield for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland. In 2013 he opened the season as the Dodgers' starting shortstop. He is a second generation big leaguer; his father pitched in the Majors for the Boston Red Sox. Now he brings that same path back home as the daily baseball coach in Huntington Beach, on the field with EM athletes every day.
A hometown big leaguer coaching your athlete every single day.
Seattle Mariners Mental Skills Coach / PhD, CMPC
Dr. Kellen Lee is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant with a PhD in Performance Psychology, and he currently serves as a mental skills coach for the Seattle Mariners. Before Seattle he spent three seasons with the San Francisco Giants and three years training focus and composure for the U.S. Army. As a college player he was an ABCA/Rawlings All‑American and a Gold Glove winner at UC San Diego. He works with athletes in both English and Spanish. At EM Academy he trains the mental side that decides how talent shows up when it counts.
